1981 - The first compounding production plant -
Radici Novacips SpA, Villa d’Ogna - was launched.
The story of RadiciGroup in the plastics sector began back in 1981. For RadiciGroup, founded in 1946, the 1980s were a period of vertical integration, new development projects, new strategies and striving to optimize available resources.

Diversification of production was the strategy that propelled RadiciGroup into the innovative engineering plastics sector, a new field back then, but one whose future expansion could already be foreseen. In 1981, Radici Novacips SpA - the first company in what would become the Plastics Business Unit - was set up in Villa d’Ogna in the province of Bergamo, Italy.
1986 -
Radici Plastics France SA sales office opened.
1988 - The second compounding production plant -
Radici Novacips SpA, Chignolo d’Isola - opened.
The engineering plastics sector soon experienced strong growth. Within a short time, Radici Novacips SpA was able to master the dynamics of this new market, focusing on research and development and specialization that would eventually make the company one of the most highly regarded manufacturers of polyamide and polyester engineering plastics in the world.
At the end of the 1980s, RadiciGroup made the decision to diversify and increased its production in the plastics sector by acquiring a new compounding production plant located in Chignolo d’Isola, also in the province of Bergamo, which led to the formation of Radici Novacips SpA, Chignolo d’Isola.
